Fwd: Fw: Tips for fuel

Subject: Tips for fuel

Hi, here's some petrol saving tips.

Someone who has been in petroleum pipeline business for about 31 years and
is currently working for the Kinder-Morgan Pipeline in San Jose, CA wrote
the following information:

We deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period from the pipe line;
one day it's diesel, the next day it's jet fuel and gasoline. We have 34
storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.

Here are some tricks to help you get your money's worth.

Fill up your car or truck in the morning when the temperature is still
cool. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried
below ground; and the colder the ground, the denser the gasoline. When
it gets warmer gasoline expands, so if you're filling up in the
afternoon or in the evening, what should be a
gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific
gravity and temperature of the fuel (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, ethanol
and other petroleum products) are significant. Every truckload that we
load is temperature-compensated so that the indicated gallonage is
actually the amount pumped. A one-degree rise in temperature is a big
deal for businesses, but service stations don't have temperature
   compensation at their pumps.

If a tanker truck is filling the station's tank at the time you want to
buy gas, do not fill up; most likely dirt and sludge in the tank is
being stirred up when gas is being
delivered, and you might be transferring that dirt from the bottom of
their tank into your car's tank.

Fill up when your gas tank is half-full (or half-empty), because the
more gas you have in your tank the less air there is and gasoline
evaporates rapidly, especially when it's warm. (Gasoline storage tanks
have an internal floating 'roof' membrane
to act as a barrier between the gas and the atmosphere, thereby
   minimizing evaporation.)

If you look at the trigger you'll see that it has three delivery
settings: slow, medium and high. When you're filling up do not squeeze
the trigger of the nozzle to the high setting. You should be pumping at
the slow setting, thereby minimizing vapors created while you are
pumping. Hoses at the pump are corrugated; the corrugations act as a
return path for vapor recovery from gas that already has been metered.
If you are pumping at the high setting, the agitated gasoline contains
more vapor, which is being sucked back into  the underground tank, so
you're getting less gas for your
   money.

Hope this will help ease your 'pain at the pump'!

Beware of Phishing emails

Dear Valued Investors

Please be advised that you must never click on the links in any emails purportedly sent from SwissCash Admin in order to avoid from being deceived by phishing emails.

Always remember these points:-

1) SwissCash admin will never send email to ask you to click to a link to verify your account, no matter how official looking it seems to be

2) Only the following are official SwissCash websites:
http://www.swisscash.net
http://www.sip25.com
http://www.scmutualfund.com

If you have difficulty logging in, or if you see the web page with some strange numbers instead of words, don't worry, it's the website under maintenance/update, just use any one of the following to login:

http://secured.swisscash.net/web/login.aspx

http://secured.sip25.com/web/login.aspx

http://secured.scmutualfund.com/web/login.aspx
this one goes thrrough a verification of ID process. Just key in your trading ID and click next. It will bring you to the official website. You just have to click login at the usual upper right hand, and continue with keying your password via the on-screen keyboard

This site is official but lacking security as the online password feature is not supporting symbols eg. @ # $ % http://secured.swissmutualfund.biz/web/login.aspx

I have personally verified the above site with a temporary account and it passed the test.

When you have clicked the scamming sites, change the password right away and never disclose the Date of Birth & TAP to anyone.

Prevention is better than cure. Better take care than sorry!

Cheers!

Securities Commission in Malaysia Obtains Worldwide Mareva Injunction Against Swisscash

July 10, 2007 14:09 PM

SC Obtains Worldwide Mareva Injunction Against Swisscash Investment

KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- In what is a milestone enforcement action against investment scams, the Securities Commission has obtained a worldwide Mareva injunction against persons involved in the Swisscash investment scam preventing them from disposing assets in and outside Malaysia.

The SC also announced it has blocked access to two more websites offering illegal investment schemes -- www.eaindex.com & www.winifund.com -- offering illegal investment schemes, bring to 10 the total number of websites blocked so far.

The Mareva was sought by the SC following the filing of a civil suit against defendants Albert Lee Kee Sien, Kelvin Choo Mun Hoe, Amir bin Hassan, Dynamic Revolution Sdn Bhd, Swiss Mutual Fund (1948) S.A, SMF International Limited and SMF (1948) International Limited, SC said in a statement here Tuesday.

The injunction was obtained on June 21 this year.

The Mareva restrains and prohibits the defendants from carrying on the business of Swisscash, targeting, soliciting and collecting funds from the public for investments in Swisscash or any other internet investment scheme.

The defendants also cannot host or operate the Swisscash websites or operate any other such websites which solicit investments for Swisscash or any other internet investment scheme.

None of the defendants in the Swisscash scheme are licensed or approved by the SC to carry out fund management activities, it said.

SC said it secured the Mareva following its investigation on the scheme under the Securities Industry Act 1983 and the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001.

Peaceful Picketing against Internet Censorship on July 14, 2007

I come across this post that peaceful picketing will be held on July 14, 2007 against internet censorship. It's about a month from SC's last notice dated June 15, 2007 that they are no longer accepting Malaysians as new investors in response to the Internet Service Provider's denial of access to its website at http://www.swisscash.net. Investors from other countries can still login to SwissCash website via proxy or without proxy. Hence I come to the conclusion that SwissCash Admin also filtered Malaysian ID bearing affix "my" as proxy usage may compromise the security of its database.

Quote

MALAYSIA Peaceful picket to hand a memorandum to PM regarding SwissCash is confirmed at the time and place appended below. Please do NOT sensationalise this post and spread unconstructive comments.
This peaceful picket I believe and may I suggest the following consideration:-
(1) it is NOT a protest but simply to hand a sincere and practical memo to our PM.
(2) it should be done in a rational and professional protocol without our human rights being suppressed.
(3) unruly behaviour during picket is detrimental to public image.
(4) memo should have a follow-up meeting with govt to create understanding. An ad hoc committee can be considered. If possible, get some well respected VIPs to help out.
(5) proposals should spell out valid reasons to allow MY to do SC at least as a temporary measure until a full measure is given. Genuine internet businesses are becoming the trend to boost any country's economy. Just like in this internet age, we can buy online insurance from a well known and genuine offshore company. There is nothing wrong with it except a virtual company is not required to have a local license to operate online.
(6) it is good to learn from many countries whereby SC website is freely allowed.
(7) get some good media coverage including understanding SC better.
(8) if the motivation, purpose and direction of this picket is good. Then, the govt may consider.
(9) as a courtesy, inform SMF/SC about this peaceful memorandum.

The following quoted post written in Malay, briefly translated- it is said that the picket is confirmed to be held on 14th July 2007 (Sat), 12 noon at Dataran Putra Jaya, Malaysia. They are calling all SC supporters and those doing any internet programs to kindly come and show your full support! This is the time for us to take a constructive action. If not, until when we need to patiently wait. Let us now exercise our human rights as citizens of democracy.

Malaysian SC Investors Accounts are Denied of Access

29-6-2007

Hi Malaysian SC Investors

I think for Malaysian SC accounts, you cannot access them anymore because they are denied access by SC. So that is why you cannot log onto your account either by mobile or proxy.

Just hope they release the accounts soon.

Dear all,

I heard that some of you are having a hard time logging into your
account the past few days. No worries, its because the traffic is
very heavy with our investors flodding in for the SIP25 and the EMF
investments.

The website may take a while to load up, but if you happened to be
disconnected from the site, do not panic. Just simply refresh the
page.
